The 2021 Utah Medicaid equity limit for a home is $603,000.00. This means that if you have a home with equity greater than this amount, you may not qualify for Medicaid. However, there are exceptions to this rule:
Exceptions to the equity cap limitation applies only in the following two situations:
o The individual’s spouse lawfully resides in the home, or
o The individual’s minor child, or blind or disabled child, lawfully resides in the home. Utah will assume lawful occupation unless presented with contradictory evidence.
